GW returns home to face struggling SLU

By: Jonathan Rhone

The George Washington Colonials enter today’s game against the St. Louis Billikens looking to improve to 4-4 in A10 play and 12-9 overall. The Colonials are coming off an impressive win against George Mason by the score of 87-68. This was the best offensive performance of the season for the Colonials who shot 11-19 from three point range, and they will look to continue that hot shooting today.

St. Louis enters the game with a record of 6-14 and 2-6 in the A10. They are coming into this game against GW with some confidence after defeating Massachusetts 74-70 in their last time out. The Billikens have really struggled thus far under first year Head Coach, Travis Ford. As a team, they are shooting under 40% from the field and have really failed to perform admirably all year.
In order to win today, the Colonials will need to get another solid contribution from their bench. Jordan Roland has been hot as of late, posting a 20 point performance in his last game. GW will look for him and Patrick Steeves to provide energy and offense off the bench against St. Louis. As usual, GW will also rely on the veteran leadership and experience of Tyler Cavanaugh and Yuta Watanabe to set the tone early for the Colonials. Expect GW to play well in today’s game with a final score of:
GW: 83
St. Louis: 71
