The Colonials play their final road contest of the season tonight when they travel to Virginia’s state capital to face rival Richmond. GW holds a one-game lead over Dayton in the Atlantic 10 standings, and because the Colonials defeated the Flyers in both head-to-head meetings this season, GW can clinch a share of the Atlantic 10 regular season championship and the top seed in the conference tournament with either a win or a Dayton loss.

Jonquel Jones will look to continue her torrid play tonight after last week’s stellar performances against VCU and Fordham. Jones made history on Sunday, breaking the school record for most consecutive field goals made in a game, going 10-10 from the field en route to a 22-point performance in just 18 minutes of play. She scored 16 points within a five-minute stretch of the second half to single-handedly put Fordham away.

Richmond comes in having lost three of their last four, including Saturday’s 61-59 loss to Saint Joseph’s. The Spiders are also fighting for seeding in next week’s A10 Tournament, currently sitting in fifth place, just a game behind Fordham and a game ahead of Rhode Island and Saint Louis.

WRGW’s coverage begins at 6:50 with tip off scheduled for 7 pm on gwradio.com.
