The Colonials continue to rise in the national rankings with each passing week and will look to continue their incredible form in tonight’s road test at Saint Louis.
GW is fresh off a big 67-56 win over Dayton on Sunday afternoon at the Smith Center, their second win of the season over the Flyers. The Colonials were not at their best offensively, shooting only 35 percent as a team. Yet, they rode a strong team defensive performance and solid afternoons from Jonquel Jones (18 points, 18 rebounds) and Caira Washington (11 points, 10 rebounds) to their 19th consecutive victory.
Meanwhile, Saint Louis is coming off a tough 75-72 overtime loss at Richmond on Saturday, a game in which the Billikens let a 10-point halftime lead slip away. The Colonials’ bigs will be focused on containing leading scorer and rebounder Sadie Stipanovich, who is averaging 13.7 points and six boards a game.
Tip off is scheduled for 8 pm EST, with coverage beginning at 7:50 on gwradio.com.
