The Colonials have officially arrived in paradise as they begin a stretch of back-to-back games at the Junkanoo Jam in the Bahamas. First up for GW is a matchup with N.C. State, a team looking to rebound from a nine-point loss at Tulane four days ago.
The Colonials are coming off a bounce back win at home against lowly Grambling State in a game that saw every active player on the roster see action. Kelli Prange will look to continue her stellar play after scoring 23 points on 9-11 shooting on Monday afternoon. She comes into this afternoon’s contest leading the team in scoring and rebounding and ranks third and fifth in each respective category league-wide.
This is GW’s fourth trip to the Junkanoo Jam after previous appearances in 2003, 2005, and 2009. The winner of this game will face the winner of the game between Purdue and Texas Tech in the Junkanoo Jam championship game at 3:15 tomorrow, with the losers facing off in the consolation game at 1:00. WRGW’s coverage begins today at 12:50 with tip off scheduled for 1 pm on gwradio.com.
