This Is What 31 Points and an Upset Win Sound Like

On Thursday, the California Golden Bears women’s basketball team, ranked 10th in the AP poll, came into the Charles E. Smith Center and were dealt a stunning loss at the hands of the GW Colonials, 75-72.

Grad student Megan Nipe led the way for the Colonials, scoring 31 points, the most by a GW player since 2004. Here is every single one of those points, as heard in Thursday night’s broadcast on WRGW with Raynell Cooper and Mike Martenak.

And here’s the last 13.1 seconds of the game, with the Smith Center crowd celebrating in the background.

The women will travel to College Park to face the #8 Maryland Terrapins on Tuesday. The tip is at 7pm and can be heard, just like every other GW basketball game, at gwradio.com.
